What should you do if you don’t understand what someone has said? What should you do when you don’t know how to say something in Japanese?

相手の言っていることがよくわらかないとき、聞き返すことができる。
Can ask someone to say something again if you don’t really understand.
１.会話を聞きましょう。

（１）日本語がわからないとき、どう言いましたか。a-cから選びましょう。

（２）ことばを確認して、もういちど聞きましょう。聞く
- 在留カード【zairyuukaado】residence card
- ここ【koko】here
- 名前【namae】name

- わかりました【wakarimashita】I understand.

言われたことや、日本語がわからないことを伝えるとき。
When you tell the other person what you were told or when you don’t understand Japanese.

もういちど言ってもらえるように相手に頼むとき。
When you ask someone to say it again.
・「c.もう少し、ゆっくり言ってください」
もう少し、ゆっくり言ってもらえるように相手に頼むとき。
When asking the other person to speak a little more slowly.
